Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: 2022-07-19

The services provided by Hosting123 can only be used for legal purposes. You agree to comply with all applicable laws, rules and regulations in connection with your use of the Services. Hosting123 reserves the right to refuse service to any person at our sole discretion. Any material or behavior that violates the policies in any way may result in suspension or termination of services or removal of content with or without notice.

UNLIMITED DISC SPACE AND BANDWIDTH

Web hosting plans are designed to host most personal, small business and organization websites and therefore we offer unlimited bandwidth and some plans offer unlimited disk space and websites. It means that we do not put a limit on the amount of bandwidth, websites or disk space you can use in the operation of your website, provided it complies with our agreement. If your website’s bandwidth, number of websites or disk space usage poses a risk to the stability, performance or uptime of our servers, data storage, networking or other infrastructure, you may need to upgrade to a VPS or Dedicated Server or we may take action to restrict the resources your website uses.

Disk space is limited to web files, active email and website content only. Shared hosting cannot be used for storage, including but not limited to media, emails, offsite storage of electronic files, or FTP hosts. Hosting123 expressly reserves the right to suspend any shared account for excessive use of CPU, disk space and other resources that may result from violating the acceptable usage policy. Hosting123 may, in its sole discretion, terminate access to services, impose additional fees, or remove or delete user content for accounts found to be violating terms.

STORING BACKUPS

You cannot use your hosting account as a backup solution. Our services are only designed to host your website and cannot be used as data storage. Hosting123 reserves the right to remove backups from your hosting account with or without notice.

OVERUSE AND MISUSE OF RESOURCES

You may not consume excessive amounts of server or network resources or use the services in a way that causes server performance problems for other customers or disrupts service.

Also, accounts with a large number of files can have a negative impact on server performance. Our shared web hosting services have an inode (file) limit. We may ask you to reduce your number of files to ensure optimum server performance. We reserve the right to review and suspend accounts that exceed or approach the limit specified in the package specifications, with or without notice. For websites that need a larger number of files, we recommend a VPS or dedicated server service.
